Huntingdon Tier Forest Retreat
Mountain-top, off-grid converted school bus apartment.

Huntingdon Tier Forest Retreat is the perfect place to escape, relax, disconnect and
reconnect. Borne out of a love for the natural Tasmanian environment, Huntingdon Tier is a
place to simply be – to soak in the woodfired hot tub, breathe fresh mountain air, listen to
the sounds of the breeze rustling the leaves or to lounge by a warm wood fire. 
Perched atop a cliff overlooking the valley below, the Treetop apartment is aptly named.
From your comfortable bed, gaze out the window at the forest below and – past the
treetops – the mountains across the valley. The hot tub, driver’s side window lounge and
deck area all share the same outlook.

For those that are a little more adventurous, a private natural cave can be found just 30
metres below your apartment. Intended to be used as a meditation space (or for a picnic!)
you will find a rug and cushions for your comfort. Above the cave, the roomy hot tub is
completely private despite 180 degree views of the valley below and is the perfect place to
soak away the stress of the outside world.

Huntingdon Tier is also home to a pair of wedge tailed eagles whose nest is located only 200
metres away from the bus. They can be seen drifting through the valley most days.
In 2022 Huntingdon Tier Forest Retreat was a finalist in the Australian Airbnb Host Awards
Most Unique Stay category and was named in Urban List’s Top 12 Airbnbs in Tasmania.
