Moonbird Beach Shack is all about enjoying new experiences. Whether you want to relax on a pristine white sand beach, swim or surf the local breaks, hike to the top of a mountain or glide down the world-famous mountain bike trails, you can always find something exciting to do. Or if simply going slow is more your pace? You can relax on a comfy sofa, swing in a hammock, or discover a quiet place in the garden to lose yourself in a good book. Do it all or do nothing, the choice is yours.

YOU WILL LOVE

If you are an early riser and wake at dawn, you will love the aroma of your favourite brew steeping, whilst you watch the sunrise above the alluring Tasman Sea. A short walk will have you stepping onto the sand to contemplate the day whilst marvelling at the shimmering crystal blue sea. Grab a yoga mat and do your own salute to the sun ‘Surya namaskar’. If you sleep in, don't despair, find a cozy chair on the north-facing deck or comfy sofa and savour your morning brew whilst you reflect in the moment, listening out for the distinctive screech of the Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos as they slowly pass by.

THE SHACK SPACE

The shack features two bedrooms upstairs, both have deluxe queen size mattresses fitted with luxury linen bed sheets for a blissful night's rest. The master bedroom has hinterland views to the west and features built-in robes with a handy clothes shoot direct to the laundry below. The second bedroom has filtered views to Paddy’s Island in the north and a European style hanging rack with storage under for your suitcase or belongings.

The shack features a combined lounge, kitchen and dining with all the creature comforts needed to relax and enjoy your stay. If you're the foodie type you will love the gas stovetop, convection oven, and deluxe Weber BBQ on the north-facing deck directly across the road from the ocean.

For the cooler months there is a Nectar wood heater to quickly warm the shack. There are also panel heaters in the kitchen/ dining and bedrooms if you need instant warmth. Double glazing throughout the shack ensures it stays warm during the cooler months of May to October. The east coast of Tasmania can get hot from November to April and features a dry low humidity climate. For your entertainment, there are board games and a selection of books and videos for the televisions, located in the living and master bedroom.
