LOCATION : Lisdillon Estate

Images c/o  Lisdillon Estates

The Shepherd's Cottage is located on the Great Eastern Drive, on a vineyard and sheep farm called Lisdillon. The stone cottage was built by the convicts in the 1800s and has stunning views of the Lisdillon rivulet. The private beach is only a two-minute stroll away with its pristine white sand and views across the water to Freycinet Peninsula and Schouten Island.

The property is located 25 minutes drive from the Maria Island Ferry and 1 hour from Coles Bay.

The Space

The historic, convict-built Shepherd's Cottage is a rubble stone building located on the East Coast of Tasmania dating back to the mid-1800s and is set on the historic sheep farm and vineyard, Lisdillon. It is one of four of the original stone buildings to have survived, that once made up the tiny village.

Explore Lisdillon's 5km of private coastline with its pristine white sand and take a dip in the property's private beach and river.

PRIVATE BEACH
Lisdillon Estate is one of the few lucky places in the world that has its very own private beach. Lisdillon's property extends to low tide mark so its boundaries grow bigger and smaller every second! Even though it is private and most of the time there won't be another personal insight you will occasionally come across other guests and people who rent shacks on the farm.

PICNIC AT LISDILLON
We have lots of beautiful spots to just sit, relax and enjoy the view so we provide guests with a picnic basket set, wine cooler and picnic blanket to use on the farm. Be sure to remember your picnic food!

The cottage includes an open plan living and dining area and separate kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, and an upstairs bedroom with a king bed.

Shepherd's has a charming garden with sunny and shaded (in the summer) seating areas and stunning country, river, and ocean views.
