Our ethos of simple and sustainable living is what inspired us to begin the journey of creating our bus home. We have up-cycled second hand materials, handmade items, sourced local products and have aimed to be conscious in our purchases to create a unique home. Much thought and creativity has gone into the custom made furniture and design layout.

This unique bush retreat is the perfect hide away. Experience bus home living.

The space

The Bus -

Look forward to falling into a luscious king bed with a mix of linen and fair trade, organic bedding. The towels are luxurious organic, fair trade cotton. The shower is full sized and the bus has it's own composting, clean, civil looking toilet. The bus is warmed by a toasty Jotul wood fire place. There is a full kitchen if you want to cook and stay in. If you love playing music we have a guitar to play some tunes or read a book from our little library. A DVD player, screen and DVDs are available for watching movies after you have watched the sunset.

There are stunning views over the tree tops and the Tamar River with green bushland all around. Breathe in the clean crisp air while feeling secluded and peaceful.

Guest access

The Bus is all yours. A lock box will have the key for access. The old farm property that The Bus is on is yours to wander and enjoy. Please do not go into the 100 year old shearing shed nearby - but feel free to admire.

Other things to note

Please be respectful of our home. We love it here and want others to enjoy this unique space.

We accept minimum two night stays due to the remote location and the amount of cleaning required.

We do not provide any WiFi as we encourage this to be a space where you can shut the world off and enjoy being.

Please note the bus has second-hand items used throughout therefore items are not in immaculate, new condition. The bus itself is second-hand and off the roads of Hobart from back in the day. Some windows are scratched and the window sills have seen far better days. Many stories could be told from this bus of all the people who have come and gone.

Our lovely family live nearby and share the main driveway. The bus has its own private driveway off the main driveway. It is also situated on a farm so you may come in contact with possums, mice and spiders on the rare occasion. Makes the experience all the more closer to nature.
