A scenic 1hr drive from Hobart and ideal for a group of friends or 1-3 families, The Chalet & The Pavilion are two accommodation offerings perched around a tennis court with a traditional Finnish sauna on a private 5-acre property overlooking the rolling hills of Spring Beach. The property will make you feel like you’re in your own private paradise, providing an experience like no other and located a short walk from stunning Spring Beach.
Located just 1km up the hill from beautiful Spring Beach and sleeping up to 12 guests, you will make everlasting memories in the evenings around the multiple fire pits, rejuvenating in a traditional Finnish sauna and cold shower session, preparing and enjoying your own wood fired pizzas on the upper terrace, or relaxing with a Tasmanian gin in The Pavilion whilst the kids play on the tennis court. Racquets and balls are provided!
Surrounded by Tasmanian flora and wildlife (including a local wedge tailed eagle, Scarlett Robin and multiple families of green Rosellas), guests have full private access to the property including traditional Finnish sauna and cold shower experience, tennis court with flood lights, secure gate entry, fire pits, bbq, wood fired pizza oven, multiple outdoor entertaining areas, landscaped gardens, bush trails and private outdoor hot-water shower - ideal for post-beach warming up and rising off.
THE CHALET (sleeps up to 8)
The Chalet has three bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. Bedding configuration is as follows:
Bedroom 1: Extra large, upstairs bedroom with king bed.
Bedroom 2: Main level with queen bed.
Bedroom 3: Main level with bunk bed.
Lounge: Fold-out sofa bed with memory foam mattress (note, no blinds in lounge area).
The Chalet is the main house on the property, positioned on the peek of the land, peering down onto the upper terrace and tennis court, with stunning views of the rolling hills of Spring Beach. The Chalet has been fully renovated and includes quality additions such as: Composite stone bath, walk-in shower, 2 toilets, wood heater, air-conditioning, Smeg gas cooktop and electric oven, fully covered veranda, laundry with washing machine, large deck with BBQ and al fresco dining facilities, bi-fold window from the kitchen to deck with servery, smart TV (no live TV), kids games/toys, full kitchen.
THE PAVILION (sleeps up to 4)
Bedding configuration:
Bedroom: 1 King bed
Main room: Daybeds can be configured as 2 singles or 1 queen.
There is a main bedroom with a king size bed with luxurious linen bedding with full-width opening doors overlooking the tennis court, surrounding hills and horizon. The bespoke bench seating in the main room features designer Catherine Martin fabric, with the bench seating doubling as two single beds or one queen bed - ideal for children.
The main kitchen, living and dining area also overlook the tennis court, surrounding hills and horizon, complete with a Paul Agnew woodheater, dining nook/day beds, cosy armchairs and impressive 6 metre bi-fold doors opening onto the tennis court. The kitchen offers guests a unique indoor/outdoor bar area which captures the afternoon sun in a natural sandstone-walled courtyard, complete with full length bifold windows.
The Pavilion's kitchen facilities include an oversized farm sink, full size Smeg fridge/freezer, full size integrated dishwasher, microwave, toasted sandwich maker, Alessi toaster, Alessi kettle and espresso machine with milk frother. Please note, there is no oven, however there are two electric hot plates with pots and pans and a built-in bespoke BBQ in the courtyard and German-designed wood fired pizza oven for guests to enjoy.
The Pavilion has a powder room separating the two main rooms, with a separate private outdoor hot water shower - the view from the shower is breathtaking for those after the full nature experience.
NEW IMMERSIVE INCLUSION: Guests will have unlimited, private access to our traditional Finnish steam sauna and cold shower immersion experience overlooking the Tasmanian bushland and hills of Spring Beach included in the stay, as well as a complimentary sauna pack including fluffy towels, slippers and hydration sachets.
