About this space
Escape to this brand new, Tasmanian architecturally designed award-winning retreat at Spring Beach on Tasmania’s stunning east coast. Sleeping up to 4 guests in two spacious bedrooms, this eco-friendly, haven sits on 44 acres of peaceful bushland on Tasmania’s pristine east coast and offers stunning views over Spring Bay. Thoughtfully crafted for comfort and sustainability, it features warm, inviting interiors and a tranquil atmosphere—perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature in a truly serene setting. Designed for two sisters by Tasmanian raised Architect, Georgia Forbes-Smith, from acclaimed Scale Architects, this retreat at Spring Beach is a masterclass in stylish living. The home is thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings while offering all the modern comforts you need with wonderful vintage touches. The use of Tasmanian timber in the project, was a thoughtful response to both the site, a coastal bush block and sustainability, with the intent for the structure to recede into the landscape over time. “Everything about this retreat feels perfectly aligned in its place” * (The Design Files). This is a place to become immersed in the surrounding bush and its scents while enjoying its views, fresh breezes and wildlife. Sleeping up to 4 guests, 'Hidden' features two well-appointed bedrooms nestled down one end of the house. Each bedroom offers a comfortable queen-sized bed, soft linens, and tranquil views—perfect for couples, friends, or a small family seeking a quiet escape. The heart of the home is a warm and tonal open-plan living space, bathed in filtered natural light. A sunny corner daybed invites you to slow down, curl up with a book, or simply enjoy the peace of the setting. The living room is anchored by a Chimenees Philippe fireplace, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere on chillier evenings. The simple yet modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals at home in comfort and style. The indoor dining table, seating up to 8, is perfect for gathering over shared meals, long conversations, or a glass of local wine. Or enjoy the deck with views to Triabunna and beyond. There are two bathrooms designed for true relaxation, each featuring a moody green walk-in shower that invites you to wash the day away and underfloor heating to keep you cosy in cooler months. Step outside to enjoy the open-air bath, where you can soak under the stars, dine alfresco at the sheltered large outdoor table with seating for 8 or gather around the fire pit to warm you up. Whether you're starting your morning with coffee in the fresh air or ending the day with a nightcap under the stars, the setting invites stillness and connection.
Hidden is well equipped with books, puzzles and games for indoor enjoyment. Just minutes from the white sands of Spring Beach and close to Tasmania’s east coast treasures—including Wineglass Bay, Bicheno, and Swansea—this architecturally designed hideaway is a relaxing and unforgettable escape into nature, comfort and design.
Guests have full access and private use of the entire property.
