The space
Originally a butcher’s shop, this charming cottage has been transformed into an intimate industrial retreat. The living area centres on a wood fireplace, where stacked timber and a cast-iron heater create a cosy setting for cool evenings. Sink into the leather sofa, cue up a record on the turntable, or unwind with a film on the TV. Exposed red brick, concrete floors and timber rafters create a bold architectural backdrop, softened by lush greenery and warm lighting.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, microwave and fridge, plus a dedicated coffee station for a quick morning brew before heading out. The dining area bathes in soft natural light, creating an intimate setting for long meals or planning the day. Step outside to your private deck, where a gas BBQ and plush seating set the scene for easy afternoons in the fresh air. The barrel sauna provides a soothing reset, best followed by a cool rinse beneath the open-air shower. It’s a peaceful retreat for unwinding after exploring the area.
The bedroom embraces a minimalist palette, inviting you to sink into a queen bed dressed in crisp linen. Just beyond, the adjoining bathroom provides a refined contrast, with sleek finishes, a walk-in rainfall shower and complimentary toiletries for your daily routine.
A private laundry with a washer, dryer and generous storage keeps longer stays feeling easy. Make use of the complimentary bikes for relaxed rides to Moonah’s main street cafés, bars and breweries just minutes away. While there is no on-site parking, free street parking is available 24/7 directly outside.
